Helping Patients Manage Pain and Medicine After Surgery
The purpose of this research is to learn which of three treatments works best for helping people manage pain and use medicine after surgery. We also want to understand how pain, mood, and medicine use change after surgery. One of the treatments is a type of talk therapy called motivational interviewing, which may help people feel better and use less pain medicine. If you join the study, you will be placed into a group by chance-like flipping a coin. Mindfulness Programs for Young Breast Cancer Survivors
The purpose of this study is to help young breast cancer survivors who are feeling symptoms of depression. Researchers will test different ways to teach mindfulness to learn which method works best to improve mood and well-being. The programs may be done online, through an app, or with guided meditation. This study is for volunteers who had breast cancer and finished treatment, are feeling symptoms of depression, and were aged 18 to 50 when diagnosed.
