The goal of this study is to learn more about the drug LBP-EC01. We want to see if it is safe and helpful for treating females with frequent or recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI) caused by a bacteria called E. coli but particularly E. coli that is resistant to at least one antibiotic.

Studying Hair Loss and Family History
The purpose of this study is to learn more about what might cause a kind of hair loss called Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. We are looking for Black or African American women who have this condition. If you join the study, you will be asked to answer a short survey, have pictures taken of your scalp, and give a saliva sample so we can look at your DNA. We are also looking for family members-whether they have hair loss or not-to take part. This is not a treatment study.

Helping People with HIV Quit Smoking Using Apps
The purpose of this study is to learn more about two different ways to help people with HIV quit smoking. The first way is to use the app called QuitStart along with the use of nicotine gum and patches. The second way is to use the app called Learn to Quit-HIV (LTQ-H) along with the use of nicotine gum and patches. We will compare each way to understand the pros and cons of each approach. We are looking for volunteers who have HIV and have smoked cigarettes every day in the past 30 days.

Studying Pump Chemotherapy For Colorectal Cancer that Spread to the Liver

Helping Patients Manage Pain and Medicine After Surgery
The purpose of this research is to learn which of three treatments works best for helping people manage pain and use medicine after surgery. We also want to understand how pain, mood, and medicine use change after surgery. One of the treatments is a type of talk therapy called motivational interviewing, which may help people feel better and use less pain medicine. If you join the study, you will be placed into a group by chance-like flipping a coin. We are looking for volunteers who are scheduled for elective orthopedic surgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
