Study of MK-0616 for Reducing Major Heart-Related Events

The purpose of this study is to test a drug called MK-0616. It will be tested in adults at high risk for a major heart related event. Examples of major heart-related events include heart attack and stroke. We want to find out how well MK-0616 reduces the risk of major heart-related events. We also want to see how MK-0616 affects cholesterol and other blood tests related to heart health.
