The purpose of this study is to learn more about three migraine medicines: atogepant, propranolol, and topiramate. Our researchers want to see which one helps prevent migraines the best. Volunteers in the study will try one medicine and keep track of their headaches. The results will help doctors and patients choose the best medicine for migraine prevention.

Helping Patients Manage Pain and Medicine After Surgery
The purpose of this research is to learn which of three treatments works best for helping people manage pain and use medicine after surgery. We also want to understand how pain, mood, and medicine use change after surgery. One of the treatments is a type of talk therapy called motivational interviewing, which may help people feel better and use less pain medicine. If you join the study, you will be placed into a group by chance-like flipping a coin. We are looking for volunteers who are scheduled for elective orthopedic surgery at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

We also want to see if self-guided CBT or CBT with the help of a health coach is better.
