Can Atorvastatin Prevent Dementia, Disability or Heart Disease in Older Adults?
This study is also known as PREVENTABLE, and the goal is to learn if taking a statin could help older adults live well for longer by preventing dementia, disability, or heart disease. This study is one of the largest research studies in adults aged 75 and older. Our researchers make it easy for people to join the study by connecting with them at home and sending the medication directly to their homes. They also check participants' health records and call them once a year to keep track of their progress.
