Studying a New Medicine for People with Heart Disease and Obesity

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease happens when fatty buildup blocks blood vessels and makes it harder for blood to flow. The purpose of this study is to learn more about a new medicine for people who already have this condition and are overweight or have obesity. The goal is to see if the medicine can help lower their chances of having heart problems in the future.

Finding and Treating Early Heart Artery Plaque

The purpose of this study is to find adults who may have early plaque buildup in their heart arteries before they develop heart disease symptoms. Researchers also want to learn whether lifestyle support and study medicines can help slow or reduce plaque buildup over time. This study is for men ages 30 to 50 or women ages 40 to 60 with low 10-year risk of heart disease with several risk factors or known calcified plaque.

Testing the Study Drug Pelacarsen to Slow Calcium Build-Up in the Heart Valve

The purpose of this study to learn more about the study drug pelacarsen for patients with calcific aortic valve stenosis. We want to see if the study drug can help safely slow the progression of calcium build-up on the heart valve. Calcium build-up causes narrowing and restricting of blood flow from the heart to the rest of the body.
