About This Study
Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) is a germ that can spread from person to person. It can cause very bad diarrhea and, in serious cases, can be life threatening. This study looks at whether a new vaccine can help prevent C. diff diarrhea or make the illness less severe, reduce doctor visits, or lower the need for antibiotics in adults age 65 and older.
We are looking for volunteers who have stayed in the hospital for at least 2 nights in the past year, went to the emergency room 2 or more times in the past year, had 10 or more in‑person doctor or clinic visits in the past year, have a planned hospital stay of 2 or more nights coming up, or have scheduled surgery planned in the future.
