About This Study
The purpose of this study is to learn if a medicine called cilostazol can help prevent another stroke or heart attack. Researchers will compare cilostazol with a placebo when taken along with a person’s regular medicines. This study is for volunteers who have had an ischemic stroke or a high-risk transient ischemic attack (TIA), sometimes called a mini-stroke, within the past 180 days. They also must have at least two additional risk factors for stroke or heart disease, such as being age 65 or older, having high blood pressure or diabetes, currently smoking, or having certain blood vessel or heart conditions.
