About This Study
Some ductal carcinoma in situ (breast cancer) is lower risk than others for turning into invasive cancer. The purpose of this study is to try and figure out which ductal carcinoma in situ is low risk. It's possible low-risk breast cancer can be treated with only hormone therapy pills and avoid surgery.
Need volunteers newly diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (breast cancer). Taking part in this study involves taking the study drug for 3 months and then a decision will be made about going on to surgery. It's possible you will be able to continue the study treatment for up to 2 years and avoid surgery completely. Study teams will discuss study details with you.
